And Summer is Gone

What did you get to do this Summer? I had photo shoots, work at the Dentist Office & we got to get a little get away to Nags Head, NC for our 4 year (married) Anniversary. :) We really haven't gotten to get away since our Honeymoon, So that was really nice.

In July, I turned 31! The whole weekend consisted of Independence Day, Movies with one of my Besties & then we celebrated with a cook out here at the house with my family & Best Friend.

August we celebrated Jager's 7th Bday with a little ice cream party. We love our furbabies!!
And now we are in the Fall season. Changing leaves, Bonfires, Hoodies......& more Birthdays!

We just celebrated our niece Harleigh's 4th bday (which is actually today!) on Sunday. She's the best!!

So long Summer.....Welcome Fall!

Until next time.

Love,

A couple of months ago, I told you about how my friend, Christa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. At only 33 years old. That's only 3 years older than me. That scares me. But, I know that God is with her every step of the way. As she walks in Faith. She always has a smile on her face. She IS inspiration!!
Well, a couple of weeks ago, my mom's Best Friend, my Other Mother, Sheila, finally got to go to the Doctor, after she had found a lump in her breast. & when she got her results, it WAS the Big C. I was shocked to find out. She starts chemo in a couple of weeks, after testing on her heart & getting xrays done. This Friday, she & my mom are cutting their hair, OFF. I get to photograph this journey. & I am honored. She & Christa are going to kick Cancer's Butt!!!

Sometimes, I question why God allows things to happen. But then I remember that we all have a season. Some of our Seasons are good & some are bad. We go through trials, but are never given more than we can handle. I know this. Being new in my Faith, I still have questions. But, I will trust in Him. Even if things don't go as planned.

My Hubby's 35th Bday, Family & A friend with Breast Cancer

Yesterday was my hubby's 35th bday! He is one of those people who don't really care to celebrate his bdays, but since he is married to me, I insist. LOL. Saturday night we went to Hooter's to get Hot Wings & met one of my friends there. My how Hooter's has changed (& not for the better). I told him if he wanted Hot Wings, next time we are going to Buffalo Wild Wings!!

For Jonathan's Bday, we went to his mom's like we do every 2nd Sunday of the month for family time & Lunch!! Getting his brothers & their family together with His Mom & Step-Dad is great! I love seeing them every month! We all take a day out of our busy schedules to get together. Especially when there are babies around! My niece McKinley who is 15 months old & my Great-nephew, Ayden who is 16 months old, then we have Harleigh, who is 3yrs old & Preston who is 7 yrs old. Seeing these kiddos grow up is so rewarding since we don't have any children of our own. This past Friday, I went to see Harleigh at her ice skating lesson. She is so cute out there in those tiny skates!

A couple of weeks ago, my ex-Pastor's wife told the world she has Breast Cancer. They were my Pastors at my church Crossroads, & God called them to Amarillo, TX. She is only a couple of years older than me. Which, is scary. But she is BRAVE! She has a GOD that will heal her. They have had a time with her insurance company though. But they got it all straight & it will go in affect on March 1st. But until then, they will have to pay out of pocket. Her mom has set up a fund to go to her that you can donate to, which is a life saver! They also have 3 children that will have to see their mom go through Chemo. She has cut her hair in a pixie cut, to get ready for the inevitable.

Until next time,
<3 Kelli
